CAS Number 782500-75-8
Albiglutide Fragment is a fragment of the soybean trypsin inhibitor, which is a protein that has been found to inhibit the activity of pancreatic enzymes. The fragment was designed to be used in diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Albiglutide Fragment binds to the glucagon-like peptide (GLP) receptors on cells in the intestine and pancreas, inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reducing inflammation. When it is bound to GLP receptors, albiglutide fragment blocks cell signals that lead to diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. Albiglutide Fragment can also be used as a contrast agent for imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound. It binds to cells in high concentrations and can help visualize profiles of these cells. -
